Paignton and English Riveria Weekend

Local departure by coach, then on to the Esplanade Hotel in Paignton for two nights. Enjoy the afternoon exploring this pretty seaside town at your leisure by taking a stroll around the harbour or walking along the promenade.

Today, we explore the highlights of the English Riveria. Our first stop is the historic port of Plymouth. Known as Britain’s Ocean City, Plymouth is one of the most vibrant waterfront cities in Europe. Its main attraction is the historic harbour where we include a one hour cruise to sail across the Plymouth Sound, passing the Plymouth Hoe and the famous Drake's Island.

In the afternoon, we visit the jewel of the English Riviera, Torquay. With its stunning seafront, stylish marina and beautiful beaches, there is so much to enjoy. Iconic palm trees line the busy promenade with an abundance of shops and restaurants. Why not indulge in a Devon cream tea while you sit and people watch around the harbour?

We return to Paignton for an evening dinner and enjoy a stroll along the seafront.

We enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the hotel before we begin the journey home, feeling refreshed after our break.
