Today we visit nearby Nottingham, one of the UK’s most thriving cities. Enjoy time to explore the city centre or discover some of the historic attractions associated with Robin Hood. Why not visit ‘Ye Olde Trip To Jerusalem’, an ancient pub built into stone caves with a charming interior?
We also visit the Sherwood Forest Visitor Centre to learn more about this beautiful spot and the myths and legends of the forest.
Today we take a trip to the quintessential English market town of Melton Mowbray. Renowned for its stilton cheese and pork pies, the town is steeped in history.
Later in the day we’ll return to Nottingham, enjoying time to explore the city or relax at the hotel.
Travel to the historic city of Lincoln for free time to stroll the cobbled streets and admire the magnificent cathedral.
Packed with history, there are plenty of things to do here – Lincoln Castle (entry not included) is a must-see with its Victorian Prison and Magna Carta Vault, the spectacular Lincoln Cathedral (entry not included) is one of the country's most spectacular Gothic buildings whose interior is as impressive as its exterior, or perhaps you'd rather visit one of the many traditional tearooms – the perfect spot to sit and watch the world go by!
