ABOUT THE TOUR
Enjoy a stay in one of Nottinghamshire’s most important houses, Warner’s Thoresby Hall, on this fantastic tour. Situated on the outskirts of Sherwood Forest, admire the views of the beautifully-kept croquet lawn, or take advantage of the hotel’s first-class facilities, including an indoor pool, fitness studio and two restaurants serving the finest of British and worldwide cuisine. On this tour, we’ll take in a mix of history and modern city atmospheres, exploring the cobbled streets, ancient pubs, boutique shops and popular attractions of Nottingham and Lincoln. Be sure to join our optional excursion to Bakewell, a quaint town nestled in the glorious Peak District and renowned for the Bakewell Pudding.

Day 1:
Local departure by coach, then on to Thoresby Hall in Nottinghamshire for a four-night stay.

Day 2: Lincoln
Today we will travel to Lincoln, with its tangle of cobbled medieval streets filled with high street shops and boutiques side-by-side.
Its impressive castle and cathedral are situated high above the city and are well worth the walk up ‘Steep Hill’ and you’ll be rewarded with truly magnificent architecture. First settled in by the Romans, then invaded by the Vikings, the city's mini-districts are a mish-mash of modern shops and cafes and historic, cultural remnants.

Day 3: Day at leisure or optional Bakewell
Enjoy a day to relax in the scenic surroundings of Thoresby Hall and enjoy Warner’s activities and entertainment - perhaps take a dip in the indoor-heated swimming pool, try something new like archery or a spot of croquet on the lawns*!
Alternatively, why not join our option excursion to Bakewell - nestled in the glorious Peak District. Idyllically situated on the banks of the River Wye, and famous for its delicious pudding, this pretty town has so much to offer!

Towering over the city, Nottingham Castle is the 'jewel' in Nottingham's crown, or why not visit Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem, said to be England's oldest pub.

This morning we visit Bakewell - nestled in the glorious Peak District. Idyllically situated on the banks of the River Wye, and famous for its delicious pudding, this pretty town has so much to offer!
