Local departure by coach to Home Connect service then on to Newquay for a four-night stay.
The magical Isles of Scilly is our destination today. We depart early, making our way to Penzance for our sailing to St Mary's.
St Mary's is the largest of the Scilly Islands and there will be free time here to discover the quaint centre with its shops and cafés, soak up the beautiful coastal scenery, or simply relax and watch the many boats that enter and depart from the bustling harbour.
Hugh Town is the central hub of the island, where the Scillonian docks and where you will find a cluster of shops, banks, churches, cafés and galleries. It has three lovely beaches; Porthcressa, Porthmellon, and Town Beach which is the perfect spot to watch the comings and goings in the quay.
Please note, the sailing to the Isles of Scilly is subject to weather conditions and an alternative excursion may be offered.Enjoy a day at leisure in vibrant Newquay, or join our optional excursion to pretty St. Ives with its quartet of beaches and winding, cobbled streets that lead to the picture-postcard harbour. It is little wonder why this seaside town is one of the most visited in the region.
We also call at the ancient market town of Penzance, famous for its pirates (or at the least the singing variety!), a historic port, and the fantastic Wharfside Shopping Centre which is home to both well-known brands and local specialists.
The optional excursions will be available to book during your tour.
Prices are per person and are subject to change. Payment will be in sterling (cash payments only).
Excursion calling at the bustling seaside resort of Looe. Discover the collection of smuggling memorabilia at Looe Museum (entry not included), take a stroll on the soft, golden sands of the main beach, or enjoy a bite to eat in one of the many seafood restaurants – the town prides itself on its fresh fish which is delivered by the many boats that bob in the harbour.
We continue onwards to visit enchanting Polperro. Make your way through the traffic-free streets, admiring the pretty cottages that cling to the steep hillsides, to reach the charming historic harbour.
Return home.
You will stay for four nights at the 3-star Beresford Hotel in Newquay.
