This morning, our journey takes us to the attractive town of Trento. See the Piazza del Duomo – once used by the Romans as their forum – or Market Square, where a Baroque fountain of Neptune now stands in the middle. To get into the festive spirit, and perhaps pick up some last-minute gifts, visit the Christmas market in Piazza Fiera.

Today, enjoy a day at leisure or embark on a wonderful optional excursion to the unique city of Venice, the largest city in the Veneto area. This city mixes Byzantine and Renaissance architecture throughout the 118 islands. The magnificent buildings – surrounded by bridges and canals – are a sign of the city’s former wealth. There are many spectacular sights to see, including the Bridge of Sighs, St. Mark’s Square and the Doge's Palace. To make the most of your visit to this wonderful city, we recommend you join our optional lagoon cruise around part of the Venetian Lagoon.

Enjoy an included excursion to the second largest city in the Veneto region, Verona. Why not make the most of your time here by joining our optional walking tour? Verona is a beautiful city and famed as the setting for Shakespeare's romantic tragedy ‘Romeo and Juliet’. The many charms of the city will be brought to life as you walk through its streets accompanied by a local guide. You will have free time during the afternoon to explore at leisure the many historic buildings, browse amongst the shops or take a coffee break in one of the many cafés in Piazza Bra overlooking the Arena.
We return to the hotel for a gala dinner with music this evening.

We leave Lake Garda and take a leisurely journey northwards to central Germany for an overnight stay.
Return home.
