Head to the Netherlands and welcome the New Year in style on this fantastic short break. Staying in the beautiful town of Valkenburg, with its famous castle and quaint cobbled streets, we discover historic Maastricht on New Year's Eve before returning to our hotel for a gala dinner and party. On New Year's Day we make our way into Germany to explore charming Monschau, famous for its half-timbered buildings and pretty bridges.

Local departure by coach or Home Connect service, then to our hotel in Valkenburg.
Located in the South Limburg part of Holland, and famous for its beautiful undulating scenery and pretty villages, Valkenburg is the oldest tourist centre in the Netherlands. It boasts many attractions including the famous castle, museums and marlstone caves. Stroll along the charming cobbled streets and find a great collection of shops, street cafés and restaurants.
We travel to nearby Maastricht today on the southern tip of the Netherlands. Take in the beautiful medieval architecture and enjoy a stroll through the charming streets of the cobbled old town, with its historic basilica and the Gothic-style church Sint Janskerk.
We return to our hotel to enjoy a New Year's Eve gala dinner and party with live music.
After a leisurely breakfast, sit back and relax as we head through the scenic Eiffel region of Germany on our way to visit the charming, historic little town of Monschau.
Enjoy a stroll along the romantic winding alleys and take in the beautiful half-timbered houses, quaint market squares and pretty bridges. Tonight we enjoy more live music in the hotel.
After breakfast, we depart Valkenburg for our return to the UK.
