Today we visit beautiful and historic York. Uncover some of the city’s Viking past at the Jorvik Viking Centre, discover 300 years of railway history at the National Railway Museum, or learn more about York’s sweet history at the Chocolate Story. Don’t miss the unforgettable York Minster, one of the largest cathedrals in Northern Europe and a superb example of beautiful, Gothic architecture. Browse York’s many shops, from high street favourites to quirky and independent boutiques, along with excellent cafés, pubs and restaurants, and not forgetting the unusual Shambles, with its over-hanging timber-framed houses and traditional shopfronts. We return to the hotel with time to get ready ahead of tonight’s celebrations. Enjoy a fabulous 5 course New Year’s Eve Dinner with glass of fizz to count down for midnight!
