After breakfast, we enjoy a trip to nearby Bideford. A pretty port town on the River Torridge, there are many antique shops scattered amongst the narrow back streets and alleyways that lead from the quay and riverside.
We then stop at Barnstaple with its medieval streets, independent shops and old stone buildings.
We return to the hotel with ample time to prepare for this evening’s festivities, as there will be a New Years Gala dinner followed by entertainment and a glass of fizz served to see in the New Year!
