Today we visit Brighton, a popular seaside resort offering a wonderful mix of Regency heritage and specialist shops. It is famous for its unusual Royal Pavillion, which was built by King George IV in a beautiful Indian and Oriental style. Brighton is also home to one of Britain’s oldest cinemas, the Duke of York’s Picture House, and the Brighton Dome concert hall which was the location of the Eurovision Song Contest where ABBA won with ‘Waterloo’ in 1974. Its cosmopolitan nature attracts all kinds of shops, boutiques, bars and restaurants - perfect to do a little shopping in the post-Christmas sales or to simply enjoy the coastal views across the pebbled beach! We return to the hotel with time to get ready ahead of tonight’s celebrations. Enjoy a New Year’s Eve Dinner with drinks reception and count down for midnight!
