Local departure by coach or Home Connect service, then to Belgium for an overnight stay.
We travel to Cologne. Spend time here in the capital of the Rhineland and explore the Old Town. See the awe-inspiring Dom (cathedral) and relax in one of the many beer halls, enjoying the local Kölsch beer. Later, we join our cruise ship for our 5-night cruise.
We sail to the attractive walled town of Andernach this morning, known for its pretty riverside promenade. In the afternoon, you have the opportunity to join our optional excursion to the scenic town of Winningen for some wine tasting. Not only do we taste wonderful local wines, but we also uncover the history behind them, learning all about the cultivation and origins of the grapes.

Indulge in the passing scenery as we cruise towards Boppard this morning. Once we arrive, you have the afternoon at leisure to explore the early Roman heritage of the dynamic squares and pleasant lanes. Enjoy a peaceful stroll or treat yourself to a glass of the best wines the area has to offer.
Happy New Year! This morning, we continue our course down the Rhine, arriving in Cologne during the early afternoon. This beautiful city is the largest on the Rhine and is dominated by its incredible Gothic cathedral. You are free to explore this vibrant city at leisure, before we enjoy our final dinner and a relaxing evening onboard.
After bidding farewell to our captain and crew this morning, we disembark for the return journey to the UK.
