Excellent trip for the money. No worries, everything taken care of, including pick-ups, transfers, luggage management, hotels, excursions. Really enjoyed it. Could have been even better if the excellent, helpful driver/guides had known anything at all about the places we were visiting so they could have given some information before we were dropped off in totally unfamiliar places.

drivers great. Hotel was not acceptable. It was billed as a 4 star in the brochure but the service was not 2 star. After travelling all day there was no Porterage. We came down foe dinner to be herded into the conference room where we were to have our meals all week. The food was placed in front of us and we had no choice as to what was served apart from eat it or leave it!!! A french coach party was served in the main dining room. In the bedroom no coffee was supplied and 2 teabags for the stay.NOT ACCEPTABLE

Many disappointments on this trip. Myriad hotel is on a very busy road junction with no outdoor space to sit and nowhere to walk except along a very busy road. Our hotel room on the lower ground floor was tiny, with a window that showed our room was below ground level, we only looked out onto a bank topped with a short stretch of grass then a hedge. Never intended for two people as both unable to dress at same time. Staff were excellent, gave 100% but cannot get rid of feeling hotel designed for 1night stopover not 4. Biggest disappointment was Carnac, drivers had never heard of The Stones of Carnac and so we were dropped off in a town with just about everything shut and a very long walk to the stones. Most of the coach party didn't make it.

Shearings should have done a reconaissance before sending customers on this trip. Why schedule a free day on a Monday when shops in France ae closed? Why drop passengers in the middle of Carnac when the megaliths are a 40 minute walk away? Why go to Carnac on a Tuesday when the museum at the site is closed? Why go to Dinan before St Malo thereby adding over an hour to the journey. Hotel in Rouen very poor - toilet seat on the floor on arrival and the room smelled appallingly. They did their best to rectify the situation while we were out to dinner but there was no food available at the hotel. The hotel in Vannes was excellent. Drivers very competent.

Hotels were great… tho a little out of town… staff were very friendly… the meals included for the 4 night stay was adequate… 1st night was served Chicken in mushroom sauce and half a cooked beefsteak tomato… disappointingly no veg with it… quality continental style breakfast… the hotel at Rouen… the breakfast also included bacon… on the final night ordered an evening meal (not included) €28 for two lovely meals and a drink each… must say both hotels were clean… good sized rooms and great comfortable beds… The coaches were very comfortable… onboard toilet was disgusting… basically unusable… unfortunately the drivers let Shearings down… one in particular… unprofessional immature manner… disrespectful towards Shearings… Ashley was the better out of the two… on a plus side… both excellent drivers and felt safe with them behind the wheel… The itinerary of the tour was good… lots of lovely places to visit… drivers could make the effort to have some knowledge on the areas we visited rather than parrot phrasing what we’ve already read from the brochures… One downside of the tour is the time schedules… early starts which is to be expected… but on some occasions very unnecessary as they had us at places that wasn’t actually open… would be nicer not having to rush around to be ready to go out for the day… only to have to wait an hour for the town to actually open… To sum up the holiday overall… it’s been good value for money… but for people with limited mobility like ourselves… it may be too demanding on your body… next time we will opt for UK only tour…

Booked on line after ringing for some more info. Call centre helpful and pleasant. Website booking form a bit awkward at accepting telephone numbers.

I really enjoyed myself, I was a bit nervous before hand first time I have been away without a family member, but I do make friends easily so settled in really good. My room had a sea view it was perfect, beautiful. The bed was so comfortable, I probably had one the best sleeps the first night, but the rest of the week was fine too. i only had one problem when I went to eat in the restaurant I had ordered soup with a bread roll, well it was rock hard, well I put that down as an error of judgement on their part.

My husband and I have had several holidays with Shearings and find them a first rate company, they are always wonderfully polite and helpful and do everything within their power to give you a fantastic holiday! We love travelling with them and have already booked a few more holidays in the near future!
