Local departure by coach or Home Connect service then onto North Devon and the 4-star Saunton Sands Hotel for a four-night stay.
Today, we have an included visit to RHS Garden Rosemoor. Managed by the Royal Horticultural Society, you can explore the rose gardens, the long borders, the exotic gardens, and plenty of seasonal delights at this stunning garden. The newest areas are experienced first, beginning with the Formal Garden and the Stream Field, which in turn lead toward the orchards and Fruit and Vegetable Gardens. Walking through the underpass, admire the contrasting original garden of Lady Anne Berry, which features many 'garden rooms' that seamlessly blend into one.
After your visit, you can enjoy an included traditional Devon Cream Tea.
This morning, we take a trip to the two twin villages of Lynton and Lynmouth, which are interconnected by a funicular Cliff Railway. Explore the quirky shops and cafés of Lynton – the lower of the towns – before taking the trip up the railway and discovering more local gems in Lynmouth.
We return to the hotel for the afternoon – enjoy the views from the lounge and garden terrace or take a walk on the beach.
Today, we enjoy a trip to Ilfracombe – a jewel on the North Devon coast. Be charmed by the white-washed buildings, grand Victorian villas and cosmopolitan vibe of this seaside resort.
We also enjoy a cruise, so sit back and admire the scenery. Exmoor National Park is home to some of the highest cliffs in the UK, such as the Great Hangman at 1043ft, so you can expect truly breathtaking views. Exmoor is also home to many nesting birds – bring your binoculars and enjoy a spot of birdwatching as we gently glide across the waters.
