Local departure by coach or Home Connect service, then on to Windermere and our hotel for four nights. We enjoy a mulled wine on arrival to get us into the Christmas spirit.
This morning we enjoy a scenic drive to the pretty market town of Kendal. Enjoy some last-minute Christmas shopping on the high street or soak in the festive atmosphere, enjoying the sparkling lights and treating yourself to a slice of the famous Kendal mint cake.
Merry Christmas! Relax in Windermere, open some presents, and enjoy a traditional turkey lunch alongside your fellow travellers. Tonight's evening meal will be a light buffet.
After breakfast today, we take a scenic drive north, venturing further into the National Park to admire the stunning scenery and visit the picturesque market town of Keswick. Overlooked by the dramatic Skiddaw range in the north and the expansive Derwentwater in the south, the town enjoys an idyllic location. Enjoy time at leisure to explore before continuing to the pretty village of Grasmere, known as the home of William Wordsworth. Explore the village, admire the spectacular surrounding fells, or visit Wordsworth’s grave.
We depart the hotel this morning, filled with magical Christmas memories, and return home.
