Following our visit there will be free time in the city to explore at leisure – see the sights or hit the shops!
Today we visit Kensington Palace – the birthplace of Queen Victoria and home to young royals for over 300 years. Walk in the footsteps of royalty through the remarkable King’s State Apartments and Queen’s State Apartments. Following our visit there will be free time in London to explore some more of the city’s iconic sights.
A truly royal day out, we start with a visit to Windsor Castle, the oldest and largest inhabited castle in the world; founded by William the Conqueror in the 11th century, it has since been the home of 39 monarchs. It is said to have been much-loved by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, who spent much of her time at the castle. Highlights of our visit included the richly decorated State Apartments and St. George’s Chapel – the setting of many royal weddings and the burial place of many monarchs. There will also be some free time in this most royal of towns and you’ll find Windsor to be a lively place, in a glorious riverside location with great shopping opportunities and fantastic restaurants.
Later in the day, we visit Buckingham Palace. The iconic home of the Royal Family and the focus of national and royal celebrations, discover the magnificent State Rooms which are furnished with some of the greatest treasures in the Royal Collection. Wander through the historic Throne Room, the opulent Ballroom and the delightful gardens, which are an oasis in central London.
Return home.
