Enjoy a day at leisure today in Grantown-on-Spey or join our optional excursion to Strathpeffer. This charming town stands in a beautiful setting at the head of the Peffery Valley, 200 ft. above sea level and guarded to the North by Ben Wyvis. During its heyday, Strathpeffer was a renowned European health spa resort. At the recently restored Pump Room, visitors once drank water from wells to treat all manner of ailments.
You will have free time to explore this pretty Victorian Highland town. Why not visit the Highland Museum of Childhood, located at the restored Victorian train station? Offering a close look at growing up in the Highlands, the museum is a great way to explore the local history and traditions.

Today we explore the beauty of the Cairngorms National Park. We will drive to Aviemore and board the Strathspey Railway for a nostalgic train journey through stunning Scottish scenery. Sit back and relax as we view the mountains and travel through the Boat of Garten and Broomhill stations.
After breakfast today, we journey home.
Local departure by coach or Home Connect service, then to the north of England for an overnight stay.
Today we travel into Scotland and stop at Perth for some free time. Visit the museum and see the 'Stone of Destiny', or enjoy the high street with its many cafés and shops.
We then continue our journey through the Cairngorm National Park and to our hotel in Grantown-on-Spey.

Today we leave Scotland and travel towards the English border and our overnight stay in northern England. On the way, we will make a stop at Dunfermline.
Famous as the burial place of Robert The Bruce in its famous Abbey, you will have free time to explore this ancient capital. The Abbey is well worth a visit, or you can wander the heritage quarter and visit Abbots House with its walled garden and coffee shop.
After breakfast, we journey home.
