Regional departure by coach, then enjoy a direct journey to Chester.
Chester is a city steeped in history, where every street tells a story. From its Roman Amphitheatre and ancient walls to the magnificent cathedral, this medieval gem showcases centuries of heritage. Walk in the footsteps of Roman soldiers, Viking raiders and Norman conquerors, and admire landmarks that have stood the test of time – including the UK's most complete city walls and the country's oldest racecourse. The famous 700-year-old shopping Rows offer a mix of unique boutiques and inviting eateries.
We then continue to North Wales and our hotel in Llandudno for two nights.
Today's excursion takes us to the breathtaking Snowdonia National Park, the largest in Wales. A highlight of the day is the journey on the Snowdon Mountain Railway, which has been carrying visitors to the summit of Mount Snowdon for over a century. From Llanberis station, you'll board the train for a truly memorable trip, so have your camera ready for the views.
We'll also visit the charming village of Betws-y-Coed, nestled in the heart of the park and surrounded by lush woodlands. Near the railway station, you'll find a museum with a miniature railway, as well as shops, cafés, and restaurants to explore. The 14th-century St Michael's Church, one of the oldest in the area, is well worth a visit.
We return to Llandudno, where you can enjoy dinner and make the most of the Victorian promenade with an evening stroll.
This morning we have free time to explore Llandudno. The town is known for its sweeping Victorian promenade, ideal for a leisurely walk with views of the sea.
You can take a tram ride up the Great Orme, where stunning panoramic views await at the summit. On a clear day, it's possible to see as far as the Isle of Man, Blackpool and the Lake District! The Grade II-listed pier, with its traditional charm, is perfect for a peaceful stroll, and you'll find plenty of benches to sit and watch the waves.
We begin the journey home in the early afternoon.
Please note: due to the short duration of the tour, a smaller piece of luggage per passenger should be taken, as you will be required to carry your own luggage to and from your room. Your driver will be responsible for moving your luggage between the coach and the hotel reception on arrival and departure.
