Today, enjoy our included excursion to Bath. You will have the opportunity to explore the most renowned parts of the ancient city, which are conveniently concentrated in the centre. These include the historic Roman Baths and Pump Room, the architectural splendour of Royal Crescent, and Pulteney Bridge over the Avon. See the majestic Abbey where Edgar was crowned King of all England in 973 AD. There are also riverside walks, a fine selection of shops and a good choice of cafés for your morning coffee and lunch.
Back at Leigh Park Hotel and Vineyard, we take a short tour of the hotel’s own vineyard, which consists of 600 Reichensteiner vines in the one acre of walled garden within the grounds, which produce a particularly attractive medium dry white wine. After dinner, we enjoy a wine tasting at the hotel.
Enjoy a relaxing day at Leigh Park or join our optional excursion to the southern Cotswolds. We experience picture-postcard scenery and villages such as Bourton-on-the-Water, nicknamed 'Little Venice' as it straddles the River Windrush with a procession of ornate bridges and stone embankments.
