Day One - UK to France
Our holiday begins as we journey across to Calais, then onwards for our overnight stay.

Day Two - France to Hergiswil
Continuing south, we travel into Switzerland and arrive at our hotel Hergiswil in time for dinner. (B,D) 

Days Three to Seven - Hergiswil
Enjoy time to relax in your picturesque resort, set amid majestic mountain scenery, which has a range of shops and cafes, as well as pretty gardens to enjoy. Discover more of the surrounding area on our included and optional excursion programme. (B,D)

Day Eight - Hergiswil to France
It is time to leave Switzerland, as we head back northwards into France for our final overnight stay. (B,D)

Day Nine - France to UK
We make our way over to Calais, then onwards home. (B)

Included Excursions

Full Day: Brienz, Interlaken and Grindelwald

We’ll spend a full day taking in the many sights of these three excellent areas, starting with Brienz. The town is known for its excellent woodcarvings and we’ll be able to purchase hand-carved souvenirs while there. 

After our trip to Brienz, we’ll journey to the city of Interlaken, where you can stroll through the Japanese garden and admire the amazing mountain views from Hohematte Park. 

From there, we’ll travel by train to Grindelwald, a popular resort with lovely views and lots to see and do. With many short walks available in the town, as well as traditional Swiss-style buildings to admire, we’re sure to have a fantastic time while visiting.


Full Day: Mountain Magic

A chance to explore Switzerland’s stunning mountain peaks and passes with a day filled with scenic delights. We will call at Andermatt and journey along the beautiful San Gotthard Pass.


Half Day: Lucerne

Join us for an included visit to beautiful Lucerne, full of medieval frescoed buildings, charming narrow streets, decorative fountains and numerous pavement cafes. Explore at leisure to take in the city's many attractions, such as the beautiful Chapel Bridge, the octagonal Water Tower and Lucerne's Old Town.

Enjoy a wonderful 'Don't Tell William' tour with us today, exploring the local area for a fantastic day out. 


Half Day: Engelberg

Engelberg is another of the destinations that we’ll travel to during our holiday. Setting off in the morning, we’ll spend half of the day exploring this popular town. Our group will be able to enjoy the beautiful scenery to the fullest extent while here. 

During our time in Engelberg, we’ll also be given the opportunity to take the Titlis Cable Car up to Mount Titlis. The cable cars are the world’s first to be fully revolving, so they’ll offer us with an amazing view of the mountain’s snowy peaks and the scenery below.


Lake Lucerne Cruise

Join us for a wonderful optional excursion today, as we enjoy a superb cruise on Lake Lucerne. This splendid lake is famous for its amazing scenery, with placid waters and surrounding mountains, and we’ll get to take in this incredible landscape during our cruise.


Mount Pilatus

Why not join us for a journey up nearby Mount Pilatus. We will travel by local train before joining the World’s Steepest Cog railway for an unforgettable journey to the summit at 7000ft above sea level. On our return to Hergiswil we will travel by boat along another part of Lake Lucerne. A great day out showing you the best of Swiss transport.


Train journey along the Glacier Express line

We join the famous Glacier Express for a spectacular journey. Sit back and watch the dramatic Swiss Alpine scenery unfold from the comfort of your carriage, and remember to take lots of holiday photos!
