Regional departure by coach or Home Connect service, then to Holyhead for the ferry to Ireland, and onward to our overnight hotel.
This morning we depart and cross the country, calling in at the medieval town of Cashel. This charming town is located in the heart of Ireland and is home to archaeological treasures, beautiful Georgian architecture and pretty scenery.
Later, we continue our journey County Kerry, where we settle in for three nights.
Today we are in for a treat as we set off on a sensational 100 mile drive around some of the most awe-inspiring landscapes along the Atlantic Coast.
Watch the scenery roll by as we journey through pretty villages, market towns and past historical sights. Our journey returns through the famed Molls Gap, stunning Ladies’ View and Killarney National Park.
During the day you may choose to join an optional ride on a jaunting car. The Tangney family have been operating jaunting cars in Killarney for over 200 years and a ride on board their pony and traps is a relaxing way to take a tour of the area.
The optional excursions will be available to book during your tour.
Prices are per person and are subject to change. Payment will be in Euros (cash payments only).
We head westwards to call in at Slea Head, from where we get a dramatic view out towards the rugged Blasket Islands, known as the ‘next parish to America’.
We then tour the beautiful coastline used in the film 'Ryan’s Daughter'. Each turn provides spectacular views of long, sandy beaches, breathtaking cliffs and hidden bays.
Later in the day, we enjoy some free time in the picturesque harbour town of Dingle.
As our holiday draws to a close we commence our journey back to Dublin, with some free time this afternoon to enjoy Dublin's sights.
Browse the shops on popular Grafton Street, enjoy a pint of the 'black stuff' in vibrant Temple Bar or stroll over the Ha'Penny Bridge, one of the city's most famous sights. Alternatively, why not join our optional guided tour to learn more about the Irish capital? Our informative guide will take us around the highlights of the city seeing Trinity College, St. Patrick's Cathedral and Guinness Storehouse.
We continue to our overnight hotel on the outskirts of the city.

First coach holiday experience for myself and my elderly mother, would not do again. A warning about a 1.30am start to get to the ferry port would have been nice when I phoned to book, rather than finding out 2 weeks before travel. Waiting in a dark bus station by Bournemouth station with only the rough sleepers and drunks for company was not the most auspicious start, I had to wander off to find the taxi and leave my mum on her own. Not impressed. Shared and very squashed taxi journey for the first leg, dropped off at a dark lay-by on an industrial estate in Havant at 2.30am… not impressed. Emailed while away to highlight personal security concerns and asking for a taxi just for the 2 of us for return last leg. Email went unanswered, not impressed. The Ireland bit was fine.

Holiday as advertised in 2023 brochure misleading i.e. 'Killarney and Ring of Kerry'. Hotel actually in Tralee. Brochure we had stated that for 2023 holidays the hotel would be in Kilarney Only spent 90 minutes in Killarney during the whole tour. Much of this time was taken up by the jaunting car ride. No time to explore the town and surrounding area further. Could easily have spent a whole day visiting attractions in Killarney National Park. Also, there was only one unaccompanied driver on this tour, while the other tours leaving the interchange appeared to have two. Having said that the driver did a fantastic job in seeing to passenger needs. In addition we were was surprised by the pick up time for the tour of 2.30am. It would have been nice to have advised of this at the time of booking.
