Stunning location for sure. Really well looked after by our coach driver Gary - a true professional and gent. The hotel was okay - The food was really good but the whole place could have done with a good lick of paint and some tlc. Friendly staff thou.

We had a lovely time in Keswick, the staff were very friendly and helpful, Gary our driver was first class and good laugh. Only down side was it wasn't long enough, definitely need 7days. The hotel was in a beautiful place with mountains all around. Would recommend a holiday there.

The three stars are for the location and view from the hotel. The hotel itself is very much in need of a refurbishment, I upgraded to a lake view room and although it was bright and airy, the carpet was badly stained and the bathroom door wouldn’t remain closed without something propped against it. Although the driver was a competent and safe driver, he was a feeder driver (his words) with no knowledge of the area, which at times involved taking what seemed extensive detours. I would point out that my husband and I are very familiar with the area and felt that this was unnecessary.

I took my 80 Yr old mum away as she's recently been diagnosed with Dementia. We had the best time together & she loved every part of this trip. The only disadvantage is there is so much wasted time as its basically two days travelling; whole day there & whole day back. This meant we only really had three days there. I realise there's nothing that can be done about this but was amazing & perfect

The Derwentwater Hotel is in need of a refurbish there were several issues from different guests over the 3 days. The food on the other hand was very good. Our driver was friendly. But on the optional day out I felt that 2 hours was too long in Keswick
