Local departure by coach or Home Connect service, then onto our hotel on the outskirts of Ashford for four nights.
Departing early, we head across the channel to Calais and make our way to Boulogne-sur-Mer. Rising above the lower town is an attractive medieval quarter, contained within the old town walls and dominated by a grand, domed cathedral.
Excursion to the seaside town of Margate. This celebrated seaside destination is home to Dreamland, an iconic amusement park with vintage rides and pop-up entertainment that delights all generations. The regenerated Old Town and harbour are a delight to explore.
Today we enjoy a trip to historic Canterbury, where the skyline is dominated by the stunning cathedral. The ancient ruins of St Augustine's Abbey and St Martin's Church also form Canterbury's UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Return home.
You must have a valid UK passport for the day trip to France. Your passport must be less than ten years old, and valid for at least three months after your trip.

Due to timings of our crossing to France, breakfast and dinner are not included on this day.
If for any reason the day trip to France is unable to operate, this will be replaced with a trip to Hastings and Carr Taylor Wines for a tasting.
You will stay for four nights at the Holiday Inn Ashford North, on the outskirts of Ashford.
