Known as a global home of sailing and is steeped in maritime history. Stroll along the High Street, Parade and Esplanade for wonderful views of the bustling harbour and across The Solent. Find out about the boating history of Cowes by visiting Cowes Maritime Museum in the middle of the town, while the Sir Max Aitken Museum provides another fascinating glimpse into the town’s story. Cowes is a haven for foodies, with numerous quality pubs, restaurants and cafés mingled in with shops.

Bourne Hall, an elegant, family run, Country House, set in mature grounds in Shanklin, Isle of Wight. Originally built in the late 1860’s, said to be for one of Queen Victoria’s ladies in waiting, the “house” still retains its sense of history whilst providing comfortable accommodation enhanced by its original Victorian features. Located a few minutes' walk south of Shanklin “old village” the hotel also offers views across Sandown and Shanklin Bay. The rooms feature Freeview TV and some have countryside or sea views.
