The Isle of Wight offers an enchanting mix of coastal splendour and scenic countryside, with olde worlde villages and modern seaside resorts all within close proximity. Join us on this fantastic tour as we explore the island’s highlights, including Sandown, Yarmouth and pretty Godshill.

5 Day Itinerary

  • Day 1:

    Local departure by coach or Home Connect service, then we will board the ferry to the Isle of Wight and continue on to the Broadway Park Hotel, Sandown for four nights.

  • Day 2: Island Tour

    Discover the ‘Diamond Isle’ on our scenic, circular excursion.

    See the popular spots as we take the coastal route along the south of the island, passing beautiful Freshwater Bay to reach pretty Yarmouth, a bustling town with a natural harbour, quaint cafés, and a main square overlooked by a stunning 17th century church.

    We return to Sandown, passing through the countryside across the heart of the island.

  • Day 3: Day at leisure or Ryde

    Enjoy a day at leisure in Sandown – relax at the hotel, or perhaps explore the town itself which is the largest seaside resort on the island and home to a long Victorian pier.

    Alternatively, why not join our optional excursion to the elegant Victorian resort of Ryde? Located on the north east coast of the island, highlights include an attractive esplanade, bustling marina and views across the Solent.

  • Day 4: Godshill

    Visit pretty Godshill, a quaint village with thatched cottages clustered around a typical English church – one of the most photographed destinations on the Isle of Wight. The name of the village derives from local legend, when the church's foundations stones were moved from the bottom of the hill to the top mysteriously overnight. The Old Smithy, the former home of an old Black Smith, is home to a delightful coffee shop and gift shop.

Guests can enjoy a superb range of facilities, including a snooker room and a relaxing outdoor sun terrace, as well as an on-site restaurant serving delicious meals – plus, there’s a lounge and snack bar for something lighter during the day. Take a short walk from the hotel and you’ll arrive at Countryfile’s ‘Beach of the Year 2019,’ Sandown Beach, boasting a pier, charming cafés and fantastic views.
