Local departure by coach or Home Connect service then on to Whitby and the Stables Inn for a four-night stay. Offering a unique type of accommodation, the Inns are full of charm and character, featuring lovely gardens to enjoy a relaxing drink. £26 per person allocation from the main menu is included for evening meals.

After breakfast today we explore the North Yorkshire Moors. We first arrive at Goathland, whose station is famous for being Hogsmeade in the Harry Potter films and for featuring as Aidensfield in the ITV programme Heartbeat. Here we board the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, a preserved historic railway stretching for 18 miles through the heart of the North York Moors National Park. Sit back, relax and take in the stunning scenery as we travel through this beautiful part of the country. We depart at Pickering station, another historic station often used in TV & films such as Downton Abbey. Be transported back to the 1930s and enjoy a cream tea in the station tea rooms. We will have some free time in Pickering to explore.

The Beck Isle Museum is where you can discover the heritage, history and culture of life in Pickering or visit Pickering’s 13th-century castle originally built by William the Conqueror. Don’t forget to head up to the Market Place to browse the many independent shops! We then drive back over the moors to admire the stunning scenery and back to Whitby.

After breakfast today we explore one of the North Yorkshire coast's main resorts: Scarborough. You will have free time to visit the old harbour, the heart and soul of the town. Take a walk in the beautiful Peasholm Park with its Japanese pagoda and waterfalls. Take a stroll along the promenade and admire the sandy beaches or why not take an open top bus tour to see the main sights?

After breakfast today, we head for the Whitby Gin Distillery to learn how the make the famous Whitby Gin. You will be guided through the Gin making process, plus a botanical masterclass! You will also get to taste 3 different Gins and take home a Whitby Gin glass souvenir.

You will then have some free time in Whitby itself to explore the harbour area. If you are feeling energetic, you can walk the 199 steps up to the famous abbey. Shop for Whitby jet in the many unique gift shops by the harbour or walk along the pier to admire the views of the beach and coastline.

After breakfast today, we head to drive down the North Yorkshire Coast. We will stop at Flamborough famous for its lighthouse and you can view the stunning cliff tops. We then will make a stop in Bridlington another popular seaside resort. Take a stroll around the harbour and see the fishing boats. Take the land train that runs the length of the resort to see both north and south promenades in style.

We return to Whitby early afternoon to give you more free time to explore Whitby or just relax in the hotel.
