Experience a nostalgic trip by steam on Norfolk’s longest narrow gauge railway which runs between the historic market town of Aylsham and the bustling town of Wroxham, at the heart of the Norfolk Broads. Originally built on the trackbed of the former Great Eastern Railway, the line opened in 1880 and survived for passenger travel until 1952 and closed until it was reopened as a tourist attraction in 1990.
We then explore the Norfolk Broads with a cruise passing the picturesque villages and windmills that dot this wetland. Our vessel is the Southern Comfort, a double-decked paddle boat, purpose built for cruising the Broads. Admire the view from the top deck, or relax in the plush interiors below deck and enjoy the informative commentary as we sail!

Coach and driver superb. Initial pickup arrangements very slapdash, and we were left behind. Another taxi had to come to collect us. Hotel was well below par, although the staff were very friendly and helpful. Shearings had happily accepted everyone onto the holiday, with the disclaimer that they did not guarantee that all special requirements could be met. This is not good enough when nearly all of us had disability. Given that nearly everyone on the coach had some form of disability, it was a bit beyond the pale to find the dining room was downstairs - no lift, just a stairlift, which necessarily prevented others from using the stairs at the same time. Queues frequently built up. Entertainment one night (quiz and bingo) was ok, but the other night (OAP singer) was pretty abysmal.
