Local departure by coach or Home Connect service, then on to Perth and our hotel for four nights. We enjoy a Bucks Fizz reception before dinner to get us in a festive mood.
We venture into Edinburgh, Scotland's proud capital. Edinburgh's Christmas Market is scheduled to take place this year, with all the sights and smells of the festive season in Princes Street Gardens. Back at the hotel there is live entertainment after dinner.
A free day allows you to relax in Perth. After a morning strolling around its boutique shops, back at the hotel there is a mini afternoon tea with gingerbread and a glass of festive gin cocktail. After dinner there will be live entertainment in the hotel.
We blow away the cobwebs today with an exhilarating trip out to the coast. St Andrews is so much more than the 'Home of Golf'. A ruined castle and cathedral overlook the beaches that featured in 'Chariots of Fire'. Our visit concludes with a gin tasting at the Gin Bothy.
Filled with festive cheer, we depart Perth for the journey home.

You will stay for four nights at the Salutation Hotel in Perth. Starting out as a coaching inn in 1699, the Salutation is Scotland's oldest established hotel. Bonnie Prince Charlie stayed here and used room 20 as his base from which to plot the rebellion. Now a modern but historic hotel with a proud history, our 'Gin & Gingerbread' package includes live entertainment, plus an afternoon tea with gingerbread and a glass of festive gin cocktail.
