We visit the fishing port of Mallaig on the north west coast of the Highlands and call in at the interesting Treasures of the Earth exhibition along the way.
Enjoy a day at leisure in Fort William - perhaps visit the nearby town centre, or relax in the hotel and admire the views of Loch Linnhe.
Alternatively, join our optional excursion to the Kyle of Lochalsh, the gateway to the Isle of Skye, before crossing the Skye Bridge to visit quaint Kyleakin, with stunning Highland scenery, spectacular lochs and beautiful glens.

We had a fantastic time on this trip. We went in March so it would be nice to go back in the summer I think, when the sun is shining and the weather a little warmer. The coach driver Barry was amazing, he was informative on the local viewing points and attractions we visited. He offered pick ups and drop offs into Fort William and he was always punctual with his times giving us plenty of rest breaks. The Caledonian Hotel was comfortable, although the rooms could do with updating, they are a little tired. The rooms still provided everything we needed for a good stay however. The staff were so helpful, polite and friendly I cannot fault them and the food was absolutely fantastic. Buffet Breakfast with everything on the menu you could imagine and a 3 course evening meal which was different every night. We did not have one bad meal the whole time we were there. Ideally located 2 miles away from Fort William so you can walk along the bank of Loch Linnie into the town. We spent the whole day there shopping, visiting the Museum and the Ben Nevis Whiskey Distillery. This trip did not disappoint and I would definitely use Shearing's again.

An excellent trip with lovely scenery. Coach driver, Simon was a perfect host throughout showing interesting knowledge of the area as well as being a safe and careful driver. Hotel food was good as were all the staff, but my single room was really in need of upgrading. Nevertheless a thoroughly enjoyable break and I have just booked again for next April!
