Visit Adare, which lays claim to being Ireland’s prettiest village, set on the west bank of the River Maigue. The village itself dates back to the Norman Conquest and the thatched cottages lining Main Street provide a wonderful photo opportunity.

We also visit Bunratty with time to explore at leisure. It is home to the 15th century castle, which is the most complete in Ireland and houses fine displays of medieval furniture, utensils and weaponry. Next to the castle is the Folk Village, a fascinating collection of authentic 19th century houses and cottages where you may get a feeling that time has stood still. Close by is Ireland’s most famous pub, ‘Durty Nelly’s’, allegedly Ireland's oldest pub, where you can enjoy Irish hospitality at its best and, of course, a pint of Guinness.

We enjoyed this tour, however there were some things that we suggest need to change. 1. The evening meals in both hotels were poor and below expectations. 2. The river cruise wasn't worth doing. there were other places we could have visited of more interest. 3. Insufficient time at Bunratty Castle, and way too much time at Adare (just a high street !) 4. Disappointed not to have had more commentary as we travelled around on the coach, suggest you make some podcasts to play. 5. All the travel arrangements worked extremely well. 5. Robbin our driver was excellent and helpful.

Everything about the holiday was brilliant apart from the long journey from west sussex to Holyhead and return which I could not face ever again.

An excellent holiday with a comfortable coach and great driver and assistant. The excursions were good, although the logistics for the day we visited Bunratty and Adare weren't great. 1.5 hours at the former and 3 hours at the latter was not ideal.

Basically a very good trip. Would have liked more time in Bunratty for castle and folk village, and less time in Adare, on one of the included day’s out. Driver Robin and hostess Tracy were superb
