Eastbourne and Brighton

The delightful resort of Eastbourne enjoys a glorious location, sheltered by the rolling South Downs, with lines of colourful deckchairs along the promenade. Brighton is bursting with attractions; from the elegant pavilion and relaxing beach to the historic shopping area of the lanes, there’s so much to see and do!

5 Day Itinerary

  • Day 1:

    Local departure by coach or Home Connect service, then on to Eastbourne and our hotel for four nights.

  • Day 2: Lewes and Brighton

    Visit bustling Brighton, a popular seaside resort offering a wonderful mix of regency heritage and specialist shops. George IV fell in love with Brighton, and the city has been a magnet for visitors in search of fun and fresh sea air! Explore the Regency squares, admire the iconic Royal Pavilion or take a stroll along the famous pier!

    From Brighton, we continue on and visit medieval Lewes. Nestled amongst the South Downs, old English churches and a maze of tiny alleyways allow a true glimpse into the bygone story of Lewes.

  • Day 3: Day at Leisure or Alfriston

    Relax in Eastbourne and explore at leisure. Enjoy the fresh, crisp air, award-winning sandy beaches and Victorian pier.

    Or why not join our optional excursion to Alfriston. On the banks of the Cuckmere River, there is so much to admire here from the medieval narrow High Street to the Clergy House and imposing St Andrew's Church.

    We will also pass awe-inspiring Beachy Head - the highest chalk cliffs in Britain.

    Trip to the lovely coastal resort of Worthing, boasting a long promenade, lovely pier and pavilion. Worthing is one of the biggest seaside towns on the South Coast and a lively destination.

    We continue to Arundel, dominated by its imposing castle. Combining 1000 years of history, with independent shops, contemporary art galleries and quaint eateries - there is something here for everyone!

    Excursion visiting the ancient town of Hastings where the popular seaside attractions along the glorious seafront sit alongside the fascinating history of this wonderful town. Lying beneath the ruins of the castle that has cast a watchful eye over the town for almost 1000 years, there's so much to explore here.

    We continue to call at Rye, once a medieval citadel and now home to a myriad of art, curiosities and cosy pubs.
