Regional departure by coach, then enjoy a direct journey to Cambridge where you will enjoy some free time to explore in the afternoon.
Visiting this elegant city offers a delightful mix of history and natural beauty. You can see the renowned university colleges, each with stunning architecture and serene courtyards, while a peaceful punt along the River Cam provides a relaxing experience with lovely views of the city’s landmarks.
The city's museums and galleries are perfect for discovering interesting exhibits and learning more about its fascinating past, or you can wander through the charming market square, enjoy a drink, and browse delightful local shops. From clothing boutiques to independent bookstores, there's something for all interests! With its blend of historic charm and pleasant outdoor spots, the city promises a delightful and enjoyable day out.

Today we travel to RAF Duxford for the Duxford Battle of Britain Airshow, a thrilling event that honours the bravery of those who fought in the skies during World War II.
The show is held at the historic Duxford Airfield, the former RAF site that played a leading role in some of the most dramatic days in 20th-century history. It features breathtaking displays of iconic aircraft like the Spitfire, Hurricane, and Lancaster Bomber. These planes take to the skies in stunning formations, demonstrating the skill and courage of the pilots who flew them.
The event also includes ground displays, re-enactments, and the chance to explore the airfield’s fascinating museums. There is the option to explore the Operations Room from where the aerial campaign was directed, and visit the hangar where the classic aircrafts prepared for flight.
Attending the Duxford Airshow is a wonderful way to experience history in motion, as the sights and sounds of these legendary aircraft bring the past to life. It’s an opportunity to connect with a pivotal moment in British history, surrounded by the atmosphere of a historic airfield. The show offers an unforgettable day out filled with history, excitement, and a deep sense of pride in the nation’s heritage.
After our day of being transported back in time, we return to our hotel to relax and have dinner.
After a leisurely breakfast at the hotel, we depart and and enjoy our direct journey home.
