We call at the market town of Newbury before the highlight of our trip, Highclere Castle. Explore the State Rooms, 'downstairs' and the Egyptian Exhibition before relaxing in the tea shop. Why not take a stroll through the grounds to the ruins of Jackdaws Castle and admire the spectacular view of Highclere from afar?
Today we visit historic Bath. The ancient city has a compact centre overflowing with world-class attractions, independent boutiques and quaint tearooms, and we have plenty of time to explore at leisure. Why not discover the stunning architecture of the Royal Crescent and Pulteney Bridge, or visit one of the city's many art galleries and museums?
