Relax and admire the town’s beautiful buildings and monuments, such as the medieval town walls and the Gothic bell tower, or enjoy a drink and soak up the atmosphere of a bygone era.
Our optional excursion takes us to lovely Opatija, nestled along the banks of the Adriatic Sea. Soak up the beautiful architecture, seafront promenade and pretty parks.

Enjoy an optional excursion today, as we make our way to two different countries to explore Umag in Croatia and Portoroz in Slovenia.
Umag is Croatia’s most westerly city, and we’ll discover stunning coastal scenery here. Explore the town’s 10th-century walls and admire the 16th-century Church of St. Roche.
Continuing to Slovenia, we’ll visit Portoroz, famous for its pristine beaches. Admire the beautiful coastal scenery, visit one of the beach-side bars or cafés, or enjoy one of the town’s three casinos!

Day 6: Umag and Portoroz
This optional excursion is available to pre-book or you can book during your tour.
Discover the west side of the Istrian Peninsula as we visit charming Rovinj, with its pretty pastel-coloured houses clustered along the winding streets. The old town itself is rich with a combination of Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque architecture.
We will head on to see the Lim Fjord, where we enjoy a short boat ride.
As our holiday draws to a close, we say goodbye to Croatia and travel through the night towards the UK.
Return home.
