ABOUT THE TOUR
You can’t come to the Lake District without taking a cruise, and on this holiday we include three! Sit back and relax in the Lake District’s wonderful scenery from the waters.
TOUR INCLUDES
Day 1:
Local departure by coach or Home Connect service, then on to the Derwentwater Hotel near Keswick for four nights.

Day 2: Ullswater Steamers and Grasmere
Travel via the Kirkstone Pass to enjoy a cruise on beautiful Ullswater. Magnificently set amid the splendour of the Lakeland Fells, it is easy to see why it is regarded by many as the most beautiful lake in England. We continue on to Grasmere in the very heart of the Lake District.

Day 3: At leisure or Penrith
Relax on the shores of Derwentwater or stroll nearby Keswick, or join our optional excursion to Penrith, with cosy pubs and quaint tea rooms.

Day 4: Windermere Cruise and the National Trust’s Steam Yacht Gondola
Excursion visiting Coniston, in the shadow of the Old Man of Coniston, which rises dramatically over the historic village. Here we take to the waters aboard the National Trust’s elegant, coal-fired steam yacht gondola which provides a wonderful, nostalgic sailing experience. We continue onto Lakeside, where we board Windermere Cruises and sail to the pretty village of Bowness-on- Windermere.

The former Coast and Country Derwentwater Hotel is located in the village of Portinscale, in the popular town of Keswick. The hotel sits in 18-acres of picturesque grounds and is the perfect place for those wishing to relax and enjoy the delights of the surrounding Lakeland countryside.
