Christmas on the Southern Shores of Lake Garda

Continue into Italy to reach our hotel for a five-night stay.

Join our included excursion to the city of Verona which exudes festive charm! One of Italy’s most romantic cities, Shakespeare chose Verona as the set for his tragedy Romeo and Juliet. The centrally located Piazza Bra is home to the famous Roman Arena and pavement cafés align the square. Take the opportunity to browse the designer boutiques on the quaint high street.

Today, we include an excursion to some of the most spectacular destinations on Lake Garda as we travel along the shore of the lake. Enjoy time at leisure to explore pretty Malcesine, with the backdrop of the towering Monte Baldo providing breathtaking scenery in all directions, before visiting Garda, the principal town of the area, and charming Bardolino. Wander the small Christmas market stalls throughout the lakeside towns and soak up the seasonal cheer.

This evening, we enjoy a Christmas Eve Gala dinner with drinks included.

Merry Christmas – relax and celebrate the most wonderful day of the year! This morning, we enjoy an included jaunt to pretty Sirmione. Explore the lakefront promenade and soak up the enchanting atmosphere, before tucking into a tasty Christmas lunch with your fellow travellers.

Enjoy an optional excursion to the intriguing city of Mantua, known as ‘La Bella Addormentata’ – a sleeping beauty that hasn't changed since the Middle Ages. Mantua is protected by surrounding lakes and anchored by UNESCO-listed Renaissance architecture, and also features in William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet.

We head to our overnight hotel in northern France or Belgium.
