Experience a Dutch Christmas and join us on a Christmas break by coach to Valkenburg. From our base, we offer excursions to Monschau, Liege and Maastricht. We spend Christmas Eve in Maastricht, before returning to Valkenburg where you can wander the pretty streets and visit the Christmas Market to get you in the festive spirit. On Christmas Day, enjoy a delicious turkey lunch, and enjoy some free time in our hotel and host town of Valkenburg. Finally, we spend Boxing Day enjoying an excursion to Monschau to wander the pretty cobbled streets, before visiting Liege which will still be full of festive spirit.

We head to the pretty Belgian town of Hasselt. The Christmas Market may still be running (subject to confirmation of dates) to create that special festive atmosphere and maybe pick up souvenirs. We continue into Holland and to our hotel, where we stay for four nights.
This morning we have an included excursion to Maastricht, which comes alive with its festive events. Vrijthof Square is home to a magical Christmas Market and light routes illuminate the city as you wander the streets. We return to Valkenburg where you can experience the festive excitement of the Christmas market in the Town Cave (Gemeentegrot); the oldest and largest underground Christmas market in Europe. The ancient galleries are filled with Christmas music and decorated with lights and traditional stalls selling all kinds of festive gifts creating a truly magical atmosphere.
We start today with a trip through the Eifel hills to Monschau, a beautiful town with picturesque half-timbered houses and buildings. After time for a stroll around we continue to Liège in Belgium where the Christmas Market will still be in full swing and where you can enjoy the festive atmosphere.
Return home.
