Christmas in St Ives

Local departure by coach, then on to St Ives and our hotel for four nights. We enjoy refreshments with a mince pie on arrival to get us into the Christmas spirit.

Trip to the popular maritime resort of Falmouth, known for its deep-water harbour overlooked by Pendennis Castle, one of Henry VIII's forts.

Falmouth's historic past is commemorated in its National Maritime Museum, a world-class attraction offering unique interactive displays. Along the main high street there are quaint old shops standing beside famous stores, and as you walk along you will catch glimpses of the colourful harbour through the picturesque alleyways.

This is the perfect place to do a little Christmas Eve shopping or simply enjoy the coastal views!

We return to the hotel in the afternoon to enjoy tea, coffee and a festive treat before time to relax before dinner and this evening's entertainment.

Merry Christmas! Relax in St Ives, open some presents, tuck into a traditional Christmas day lunch and enjoy the festive atmosphere in the hotel with your fellow travellers. Watch the Kings speech with Tea, coffee and Christmas cake. A light evening meal will be served this evening.

After a leisurely morning, we enjoy a trip to the ancient market town of Penzance. Overlooking the majestic sweep of Mount's Bay, with St. Michael's Mount in the distance, Penzance still retains an air of pirates and smugglers in the winding, historic streets.

Art galleries, bookshops and independent boutiques abound, and it is a delight to wander around the town centre and down to the pretty harbour. Maybe enjoy some traditional Cornish fare with a pasty or some seafood

We depart the hotel this morning, filled with magical Christmas memories, and return home.
