Christmas in Oxfordshire

Local departure by coach or home connect service, then on to the Mercure Newbury West Grange Hotel for a festive four-night stay. Relax with a glass of wine on arrival, and after dinner why not enjoy the hotel's showing of a Christmas film to get into the festive spirit?

We head to the interesting university city of Oxford, home to honey-coloured colleges and many famous spires. Whether you're a fan of literature and learning or pubs and restaurants, Oxford is a delight to explore and this is a great chance to pick up any last-minute gifts!

After dinner this evening there will be a festive quiz and bingo.

Relax and watch the King's speech after your Christmas lunch, before enjoying a light buffet and selection of games in the evening.

After a relaxing breakfast we visit the cathedral city of Winchester, England's ancient capital and the former seat of King Alfred the Great. Discover some of the city's splendid architecture and history, or why not hit the shops for a little Boxing Day sale shopping?

On our return to the hotel we'll enjoy a serving of tea, coffee, scones and mince pies, and there will be light entertainment after dinner this evening.
