Local departure by coach or Home Connect service, then on to Scotland and our hotel for four nights. We are welcomed by a mulled wine and mince pie on arrival to the hotel. Enjoy a 3-course meal this evening with your fellow passengers and relax in the cosy bar and lounge area.
After a Scottish breakfast, we visit Perth, nicknamed the 'fair city' after 'The Fair Maid of Perth' by Sir Walter Scott was published in 1828. This elegant city was once the ancient capital of Scotland, and today has a wealth of museums, art galleries, stunning gardens, along with a palace and racecourse. Visit Perth Museum and see the famous 'Stone of Destiny' or explore the high street.
We return to the hotel in the afternoon to give you time to relax. Why not enjoy a swim in the hotel swimming pool or go for a stroll along the banks of the River Ericht that flows through the heart of Blairgowrie? We enjoy a Christmas Eve dinner in the restaurant this evening before entertainment.
Merry Christmas! Relax, open some presents, tuck into a traditional turkey Christmas lunch, and enjoy the festive atmosphere in the hotel with your fellow travellers. Watch the King's speech in the main lounge area with a mulled wine before the gala buffet this evening.
This morning we visit the stunning Queen’s View lookout point to admire the simply beautiful scenery. This vantage point was much loved by Queen Victoria when she visited in 1866 and was named after her. Enjoy the majestic views of Loch Tummel and the Tay Forest Park. We then call at the pretty village of Aberfeldy before returning to the hotel. After dinner tonight there will be entertainment.
We depart the hotel this morning, filled with magical Christmas memories, and return home.
