Christmas in Fort William at the Caledonian Hotel

Local departure by coach or Home Connect service, then to Fort William and our hotel for four nights.

Enjoy a mince pie with a tea/coffee upon arrival before dinner tonight in the restaurant.

After a hearty Scottish breakfast today, we visit Fort Augustus at the south-west end of Loch Ness. We drive via Spean Bridge and the Commando Memorial, a monument dedicated to the men of the original British Commando Forces in WWII.

We then continue to Fort Augustus, which offers spectacular views down Loch Ness. There are many cruises which depart from here, perfect for hunting down the famous Nessie!

We return to the hotel for afternoon refreshments and a festive treat, followed by dinner and entertainment in the evening.

Merry Christmas! We start the day with a full Scottish breakfast, then your traditional Christmas Day lunch will be served with a visit from Father Christmas!

After lunch, it's time to relax in the hotel or watch the King's Speech. Enjoy tea, coffee and Christmas cake in the afternoon and a light evening supper to finish the day.

Enjoy a leisurely full Scottish breakfast before we take a trip to Kinlochleven. The town is on the eastern end of Loch Leven and at the foot of the beautiful mountains known as the Mamores. Kinlochleven was the site of an aluminium smelter, which at one time was the largest in Europe. The tale of this can be heard in The Aluminium Story.

We return to the hotel, passing the beautiful Loch Leven and Loch Linnhe, which both offer superb scenery.

Enjoy refreshments with a festive treat followed by dinner in the restaurant this evening with entertainment.

We depart the hotel this morning, filled with magical Christmas memories, and return home.
