We enjoy tea or coffee with a mince pie on arrival to get us into the Christmas spirit. Dinner this evening will be served in the hotel restaurant.
We enjoy a morning visit to Canterbury on Christmas Eve. One of England's most beautiful and historic cities, it is home to a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Canterbury hosts a Christmas market with over 120 festive stalls offering treats and gifts. Famous for its stunning stained glass windows, the cathedral is a must-visit in your free time.
Beyond the cathedral, wandering the historic city centre is especially magical at this time of year, with its cobbled streets, half-timbered buildings and vibrant mix of independent shops, cafés and traditional pubs.
We return to the hotel for a 2-course lunch, plus a 'guess the weight of the Christmas cake' competition. Relax in the hotel or take a stroll into Folkestone this afternoon before enjoying dinner this evening. Why not take part in the festive quiz after dinner with your fellow guests? Midnight Mass services are also available on request, with a hot chocolate available on return.
Merry Christmas! Open your presents and then enjoy a glass of Buck's Fizz with breakfast. A traditional 5-course Christmas lunch with all the trimmings will be served. You can listen to the King's speech with tea/coffee and Christmas cake in the afternoon, followed by a light buffet dinner this evening and entertainment.
This morning we take a short drive along the Kent coastline to visit the famous White Cliffs of Dover, one of the iconic symbols of the British Isles. The visit starts at the White Cliffs of Dover Visitor Centre, where there are informative displays introducing the area’s geology, wildlife, and historical significance. There will be time for guests that wish to take a gentle stroll to the scenic viewpoints overlooking the sea for those dramatic photos.
We return to the hotel for a 2-course Boxing Day lunch, then it's time to relax. Dinner this evening will be served in the restaurant followed by entertainment.
