Local departure by coach or home connect service, then on to Eastbourne and our hotel for four nights. We enjoy a drink and mince pie on arrival to get us into the Christmas spirit.
Today we visit Brighton, a popular seaside resort offering a wonderful mix of Regency heritage and specialist shops. It is famous for its unusual Royal Pavillion, which was built by King George IV in a beautiful Indian and Oriental style. Brighton is also home to one of Britain’s oldest cinemas, the Duke of York’s Picture House, and the Brighton Dome concert hall which was the location of the Eurovision Song Contest where ABBA won with ‘Waterloo’ in 1974. Its cosmopolitan nature attracts all kinds of shops, boutiques, bars and restaurants - perfect to do a little Christmas Eve shopping or to simply enjoy the coastal views across the pebbled beach!
Merry Christmas! Relax in Eastbourne, open some presents, tuck into a traditional turkey dinner, and enjoy the festive atmosphere in the hotel with your fellow travellers.
This morning we visit Worthing, a traditional seaside town complete with prom and a pier which won Pier of the Year in 2019. Why not visit the Worthing Museum and Art Gallery or simply enjoy the sea air and stroll along the front. We return to the hotel for a festive afternoon with treats
We depart the hotel this morning, filled with magical Christmas memories, and return home.
