Brighton is also home to one of Britain’s oldest cinemas, the Duke of York’s Picture House, and the Brighton Dome concert hall which was the location of the Eurovision song contest where ABBA won with ‘Waterloo’ in 1974. Its cosmopolitan nature attracts all kinds of shops, boutiques, bars and restaurants - perfect to do a little Christmas Eve shopping or to simply enjoy the coastal views across the pebbled beach!
