ABOUT THE TOUR
Join us as we set sail from the Middle Rhine to charming Amsterdam on this memorable river cruise. Soak up the beautiful passing scenery of medieval castles, chocolate-box towns and lush vineyards whilst aboard the elegant MS Crucevita, and enjoy fantastic ports-of-call including pretty Strasbourg, historic Koblenz and spectacular Cologne.
TOUR INCLUDES
Day 1:
Local departure by coach or Home Connect service, then travel to Belgium for an overnight stay.
Day 2: Mainz to Mannheim
After breakfast we travel to Mainz to board our ship. Mainz is situated at the confluence of the Rhine and Main Rivers and has been the capital of the German federal state of Rhineland-Palatinate since 1946. Relax this evening on board as we set sail and cruise towards Mannheim.

Day 3: Mannheim to Strasbourg
We arrive into the port of Mannheim where you can join our optional excursion to the majestic city of Heidelberg, home of Germany’s oldest university, for time at leisure. We return to the ship for lunch on board and an afternoon and overnight sailing towards Strasbourg.

Day 4: Strasbourg to Worms
This morning we arrive at the magnificent city of Strasbourg, which is well known for its world heritage status. Enjoy some free time to explore the main sights at leisure or take a walk around the old city. Return on board in time for lunch and sail overnight towards Worms.

Day 5: Worms to Rüdesheim
We arrive into the city of Worms this morning. Worms’ skyline is dominated by the four towers and two domes of the magnificent Kaiserdom, built in the 11th and 12th centuries in the late-Romanesque style, and consecrated in 1018. You can still see many vestiges of the old city walls, particularly the Torturmplatz and the Karolingerstraße. The Dom of St. Peter and St Paul, which was completed in 1325 survived the destruction of World War II. This afternoon we set sail for Rüdesheim, arriving later this evening. Tonight, there’s the chance to join our optional tour to visit a traditional wine cellar and sample some of the superb wine that the region is so famous for. Relax this evening as we are berthed overnight in Rüdesheim.

Day 6: Rüdesheim to Koblenz to Cologne
We leave Rüdesheim this morning and set sail towards the historic city of Koblenz, one of the oldest, most beautiful and most diverse cities in Germany. This afternoon you are free to explore at leisure before we set sail this evening towards Cologne.

Return home.
