We paid £800 for a weeks stay and we were given a room overlooking the fire escape . We had to crouch down to access the shelves in the wardrobe as the table was up against it . We had requested a front facing room when we booked in January and was disappointed by the receptionist who booked us in as all she kept on saying was they were full . The room allocated was a basic double and the hotel was definitely not full .

Too many dogs, Rugby stag do. Very noisy, foul language. Allergy to dogs, so was unable to use the lift, had to walk up and down 2 flights of stairs.

Over the years we have visited Carlton 5 or 6 times. This time the bedrooms had been redecorated with new furniture ,the food was so must better with the preorder menu. We will certainly return.
