Cardiff, Royal Mint and Mines

Local departure by coach or Home Connect service then to the outskirts of Cardiff for a four-night stay.

This morning we visit the Royal Mint Experience. This fascinating and interactive museum will teach you more about the process, history and people behind the coins in your pocket!

In the afternoon we learn more about 'black gold' and explore the history of the Welsh coal industry at The Rhonda Heritage Park where you can relive a bygone age on a tour led by former miners.

Today you will have a day to explore visit Cardiff, Wales' capital city. This is a small city that offers plenty – from the historic castle to the modern Millennium Stadium, it is a delight to explore.

A city by the sea! Enjoy the sweeping waterfront of Swansea Bay, explore the old Swansea Market or learn more at The Dylan Thomas Centre – a permanent exhibition dedicated to the life and times of one of Wales' literary giants. No visit to Swansea is complete without trying one of the famous ice cream parlours!
