Local departure by coach or Home Connect service, then on to the Britannia Grand Burstin Hotel, Folkestone for four nights.
Today we travel along the coast to the old port of Hastings. One of the medieval cinque ports, the remains of William the Conqueror's first English castle still stand here today and there is an abundance of history to be discovered in the meandering alleyways in the old town.
We continue to call at Carr Taylor Wines where we enjoy a taste of the delightful produce as well as refreshments with local cakes to round off the day.
Spend the day at leisure in Folkestone, and explore the pretty promenade on the cliffs and the harbour, or simply relax in one of the delightful seafront cafés.
Alternatively, join our optional excursion to see another Kent seaside town, Margate, with its fine, sandy beaches.
