We continue to Altamira Caves which features prehistoric paintings of bison, horses and deer. In order to preserve the paintings it was decided in 2002 that visitors would see replicas, but this is still worth the visit.

This was a wonderful holiday in all respects with one exception; the Torresport Hotel at Torrelavaga was certainly not worth its 4* grading. Set in a retail park was far from ideal and the food was very mediocre and diners were also required to get their own knives, forks spoons etc whilst the hotel put only one waiter / waitress on duty. Whatever Shearings paid to the Torresport it was too much! I do not like to be negative and all other things about the holiday were great. Tom and Steve were entertaining and attentive drivers and they were a credit to Shearings.

The food at dinner each night was not up to the standard that was expected on a shearings holiday.rather having a bottle of wine on the table each night it would be better to use the cost on better quality meals
