Often described as the ‘Outdoor Capital of the UK,’ Fort William is a stunning town located in the western Scottish Highlands, overlooked by Ben Nevis – Britain’s highest mountain. The town has been used as a filming location for major motion pictures including Harry Potter, Highlander and Braveheart, and it’s easy to see why. With spectacular rolling landscapes and dramatic hills, there’s plenty for nature enthusiasts to enjoy, and no visit to the area is complete without sampling a ‘wee dram’ at the local distillery. Other popular activities include the West Highland Museum, the Jacobite Steam Train, loch cruises, and Steall Falls – one of Scotland’s highest waterfalls.

Shearlings self drive holiday. Hotel was lovely warm and clean. Good choices for breakfast and dinner. Staff all too happy to help. Excellent value for what we paid. One thing that let it down was the outside grounds. If they mowed the lawns and tidyed the garden this would reflect how nice the hotel was inside

Entertainment very poor. Food was basic. Decor was tired in places and unprofessional where it was attempted. Will not be booking again.
