Brussels and Bruges Christmas Markets

This charming city boasts quite a unique magic at this time of year, with its stunning buildings including the Gothic clock, town halls and medieval belfry that dominate the main square which will be beautifully illuminated and dressed in festive garlands. You will have free time to explore the Christmas Markets, which are magnificently brought to life, offering an assortment of handmade gifts, decorations, and food, including a tempting array of Belgian chocolates made especially for Christmas.

Enjoy a visit to Brussels where the Christmas Market with its cheerful lights, delicious aromas and a vast number of stalls, promises a true festive atmosphere. With exhibitors from all over Europe setting up wooden chalets around the Bourse (Stock Exchange), Place Sainte Catherine and the Fish market you are sure to find plenty of stocking fillers. Whichever chalets you visit you will find plenty of Christmas goodies, handicrafts and various seasonal gastronomic delights. For the more adventurous the market is home to a ferris wheel, ice rink and merry-go-rounds and brass bands provide festive atmosphere. In the Grand Place, one of the world’s most beautiful squares, admire the stunning baroque facades of the guild houses and Town Hall, which will be beautifully illuminated and dressed in festive garlands. The square’s famous cobbles will host a fabulous Christmas tree.
