The Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway is a volunteer operated heritage railway in Gloucestershire and Worcestershire. It uses part of the route of the former Great Western Railway's main line from Birmingham to Cheltenham, which used to run via Stratford-upon-Avon.

It now operates steam and heritage diesel trains between Cheltenham Racecourse and Broadway, through some of the most spectacular scenery in the Cotswolds. The line commands wonderful views of the nearby sleepy hamlets and villages, with outstanding outlooks across to the Malvern Hills and beyond. Sit back, relax and enjoy light refreshments on our journey.

We will then enjoy free time in Broadway, which remains today as it has for centuries with the picturesque rolling hills overlooking the ancient honey-coloured period buildings.

Stratford-upon-Avon is a pretty riverside town, most famous as the birthplace of Shakespeare. You may choose to immerse yourself in the Bard's world and visit his birthplace, Anne Hathaway’s Cottage, or his final resting place at Holy Trinity Church. Beside Shakespeare, Stratford offers lots to do, with excellent shops and restaurants, pretty timbered buildings and cruises upon the river.

We also enjoy a visit to Warwick, with free time to explore. You may choose to visit Warwick Castle, founded by William the Conqueror, or simply stroll through this historic town.

Blenheim Palace is a UNESCO World Heritage Site with over 300 years of history. Situated in the beautiful Oxfordshire countryside, it is one of England's largest houses and is a stunning example of architecture.

Arguably, it is most famous as the birthplace and home of Sir Winston Churchill, England's Prime Minister between 1940-45 and 1951-55. There are exhibitions here dedicated to one of our greatest leaders and the work he did during the war.
