ABOUT THE TOUR
Take in some of the country's most dramatic scenery on the Settle-Carlisle Railway. One of the last great mainline railways to be built in the country, the line consists of 21 viaducts, 14 tunnels and 72 miles of track.
TOUR INCLUDES
Day 1:
Local departure by coach or Home Connect service, then on to the Liberty's Hotel, Blackpool for a four-night stay.

Day 3: Day at leisure or Bowness-on-Windermere
Enjoy a day at leisure in seaside Blackpool or join our optional excursion to the beautiful Lake District where we visit Bowness-on-Windermere.

Day 4: Settle-Carlisle Railway
Excursion to Carlisle where we join the Settle-Carlisle Railway for our journey taking in some of the most dramatic scenery to be found in the British Isles. The 72-mile route takes us over the spectacular Ribblehead Viaduct and through the longest tunnel on the line at Blea Moor.

You will stay for 4 nights at the 3-star Liberty's Hotel, Blackpool.
